Chimes, cars on a wet road, birds, and children in the distance

Here's a new field recording.....
In the evening - a rain storm has just a passed. I gave the chimes a little push and let them go. Out on the porch listening to the ambience of the moment. Chimes, cars on a wet road, birds, and children in the distance.

4th of July, two-thousand sixteen

It's the 4th of July, two-thousand sixteen. Sitting one of our bedrooms listening to the fireworks going off around the neighborhood. Slight sound of the wall clock in the background.

Coffee Cup Sessions on Spotify

Our first year of Coffee Cup Sessions is now available on Spotify and other services!  These improvisational recording are a journal of early mornings during the winter of 2015 captured and expressed through electronic music. Soundscapes and rhythm combine to capture those early, brief moments of the day while drinking our morning coffee.

First Coffee Session of the year

I wanted to take a minute to post one of my favorite Coffee Cup sessions (introduced in this post from October) as of late.  Verzerren and I met up one more before work and talked about some new gear and directions we would like to go.  We did manage to make some music too.  Here is a 10 minute excerpt from that day.  Enjoy!

Coffee Session from September

This is recent recording that my long time music collaborator, Joe, and I made a couple of weeks ago.
We get together before work every couple of weeks as time allows, meet up at a local coffeeshop, and rock out (while wearing headphones). We have a FB page (https://www.facebook.com/CoffeeCupSessions) where will we will continue to add our recordings. It's electronic. It's noisy. It's a great way to start the day.

Jellyfish off the coast

Bubbly and drifting.  This track is made with a sampler module I built in Plogue Bidule.

Field Recordings from June 2015

The night and rain, two things I love to listen to. I have countless recordings of both through out the years. Here are a few recent ones. All recordings are binaural, so headphones make them more fun.
